Five things we decided early
A score is not an answer
A similarity percentage tells you almost nothing on its own. A 30% match that is entirely references and standard methodology phrasing is fine; a 6% match that is one paraphrased paragraph from an unreferenced source is not. Every order includes a reviewer's reading, because the reading is the useful part.
Anonymity should be structural
We do not ask reviewers to be discreet. Names, email addresses and phone numbers are simply not present in the data the workspace renders, and documents entering it have author metadata removed first. A promise you have to remember to keep is not a safeguard.
Licensed access, evidenced
Reviewers who offer reports from licensed software must document their own authorised access and accept an acceptable-use attestation before the dispatch engine will send them a single order. We would rather have a smaller reviewer pool than an unaccountable one.
Automation where it removes friction
Matching is fully automated, so an order placed at 2am is with a reviewer at 2am. Judgement calls — approving reviewers, resolving disputes, confirming manual deposits — stay with people.
Money should be boring
Payments sit in escrow until you accept. Balances derive from an append-only double-entry ledger with a database-enforced balance invariant, so a wallet number is always explainable by the transactions behind it.

We would rather be direct about this on the About page than bury it in the terms.
